11/22/2015 BEHAVIOR EVALUATION – NH ONLY
Exam Type BEHAVIOR
Feldman was brought in as a stray, so we cannot speak to his behavior in his previous home. Upon intake Feldman didn’t allow handling and was very tense. Reaction to assessor: Feldman was stress meowing in the back of the kennel. His back was arched and he was licking his lips. Reaction when softly spoken to: Feldman remains motionless with eyes focused on the assessor. Reaction to cage door opening: Feldman was tense and inched away slowly. Reaction to touch: Feldman hisses and swats when the assessor approaches. His ears bend flat and doesn’t allow any handling. Behavior Determination: New Hope Only Feldman is displaying behaviors that preclude placement in the adoptions room and/or may require further investigation before placement in a home. He has tried to swat and does not currently tolerate petting or handling. The behavior department feels that placement with a New Hope Partner is the best option at this time.
