FAITH – A1047675

8-25-2015 Brooklyn

Previous | Next

*** GONE 08/25/15 *** FAITH was surrendered at the ACC because the owner no longer had time for her. How much time is really required to care for a cat? Sadly it’s a poor excuse to dump your cat at a kill shelter. FAITH was a devoted pet for many years and now she finds herself facing death tomorrow through no fault of her own. FAITH is a sweet cat who is in desperate need of a new family. Please let that family be you.

Faith came to us as an owner surrender on 8/12/15. It was reported by the owner that Faith has never been around children but that she has been relaxed and respectful toward everyone she meets. Faith did have a habit of scratching the table, but owner believed that this was due to her not having a scratching post. Faith was very solicitous when approaching her kennel with very loose body language. She initiated head rubs on the assessor and was purring constantly when pet softly. Faith was a bit wary of being picked up, but tolerated the action. The behavior department believes that Faith can go to an average home. Reaction to assessor: comes to front of cage – soliciting, rubbing against cage front, reaching out with paws (1) When spoken to quietly: stays at front – continues to solicit attention, rubbing, purring, meowing (1) Reaction to cage door opening: remains soft and relaxed (1) Reaction to touch: solicits petting and attention – rubs, chirps, meows (1) Reaction to being picked up: Tolerant, but quickly agitated jumps out
