04/24/15 20:18 The Eucalyptus is a black and white feline that was brought to the shelter as a stray. The cat is estimated to be around a year old. At intake the cat staye dvery quiet and entered the feral den carrier from the feral trap with ease and with out the coaxing of the counselor. The cat was not directly handled at intake.

Notes: Eucalyptus was brought to the care center as a stray so we don’t have any behavioral history previous to what we are seeing during the evaluation. At the time of the assessment he was displaying friendly behavior, comes to the front of the kennel, interacts with the Assessor, solicits attention, is easy to handle and tolerates all petting. Eucalyptus is displaying behavior appropriate for a beginner cat owner. Reaction to assessor: comes to the front of the cage, soliciting, (1) When spoken quietly: stays at front, continues soliciting attention (1) Reaction to door cage opening: remains soft & relaxed (1) Reaction to touch: solicits petting and attention (1) Try picking cat up: tolerant of this type of handling.
