Adorable one-year-old tabby and tortie kitten ETHELLE finds herself stuffed into the ACC’s Death Camp for Kitties as a SUPPOSED “STRAY”, but this little lovebug came in with NO fleas or ear mites, at a healthy weight – it’s obvious that darling Ethelle is a lost or abandoned pet kitty! Ethelle earned a very good behavior rating of EXPNOCHILD for the way she GAVE GENTLE, TRUSTING RUBS and allowed petting, but this sweet tabby/tortie darling will DIE AT NOON TOMORROW, despite the fact that ETHELLE is PERFECTLY HEALTHY! Animal’s demeanor with you – cat allowed being scruffed and transferring from carrier to carrier with no issue and no aggression. Finder stated that he was in the middle of working making a delivery and he saw the cat in the street and it came up to him and he was able to pick it up and put it into a carrier.

Reaction to assessor: Does not come to the front but remains neutral. (2) Reaction to being spoken to quietly: Does not come to the front but remains neutral. (2) Reaction to cage door opening: Remains motionless. (2) Reaction to touch: Sniffs and rubs against hand, but hisses when body is petted. (3) Reaction to being picked up: Not tolerant, growls and hisses. Notes: Ethelle came to the shelter as a stray, so we don’t have any behavioral history or tendencies in a home environment. At the time of the assessment, Ethelle is not allowing handling. She hisses and growls at the assessor and allows minimal handling. Ethelle is exhibiting behavior suited for experienced cat parents with no children who can allow her proper adjustment time to a new home.
