ESTEE – A1043101
7-12-2015 Manhattan
***GONE 07/12/15*** FRIENDLY, HEADBUTTING TABBY KITTEN, FOUND INSIDE A BUILDING, IS PERFECTLY HEALTHY, BUT WILL NOW DIE DUE TO HER FEAR – PLEASE GRANT ESTEE A DEATH ROW PARDON!!! Gorgeous 10-month-old brown tabby kitten ESTEE was found INSIDE A BUILDING and scooped up by a would-be good Samaritan, who then DUMPED her into the kill-happy ACC. Estee was FRIENDLY during intake: “She allowed her finder to pick her up and put her in a carrier. Estee had wide eyes and was a little tense as she stood on the counter and looked around. She allowed me to pet, scan (-), collar, pick up, position her for pictures, and put her in a carrier, without resisting, retreating, or vocalizing.” But this is ONE SMART KITTEN, who quickly realized that the ACC means her mortal harm! She WANTS TO BE LOVED, for she HEADBUTTED at first during her behavior test, but then her FEAR took over, so she HISSED and SWATTED. Can you BLAME her? You’d do exactly the same, if you were in HER paws! Now the ACC has PUNISHED poor Estee with New Hope Only and fast-tracked this excellent kitten to the noon kill list for tomorrow, despite the fact that Estee is PERFECTLY HEALTHY! Please don’t let them murder this pretty princess. Start RIGHT NOW to apply to foster or adopt betrayed tabby kitten ESTEE from the approved New Hope rescue groups! If you can’t save ESTEE yourself, please SHARE her sad story and PLEDGE for her rescue!

07/10/2015 BEHAVIOR EVALUATION – NH ONLY
Exam Type BEHAVIOR
Reaction to assessor: Estee looks neutral in her cage when approached by the assessor. Reaction to door opening: Estee remains lying down on her cage bedding, alert with soft eyes. Reaction to touch: Estee slowly engages at the assessor’s hand then began to head-butt, but becomes cautious with her surroundings. While she remains cautious she retreats to the back of the cage, hisses, and attempts to swat at the hand. Placement determination: NH ONLY Estee is displaying behaviors that preclude placement in the adoptions room. She is stressed in the shelter environment and does not currently tolerate petting. The behavior department feels that placement with a New Hope Partner is the best option at this time.
