11/25/2015 BEHAVIOR EVALUATION – BEGINNER
Exam Type BEHAVIOR
Ernie was brought in as a stray, so we cannot speak to his behavior in his previous home. He was calm and relaxed upon intake, and allowed all handling throughout the intake process and his initial medical exam. Reaction to Assessor: Ernie was calm, relaxed, and friendly by the front. Reaction when softly spoken to: Ernie meows and places his paw on the cage door. Reaction to cage door opening: Ernie remains soft and relaxed. Reaction to touch: Ernie head-butts, begins to purr, and leans into petting. He is very affectionate throughout the interaction, and would try to climb onto the assessor’s chest for more attention. Reaction to being picked up: Ernie remains soft and licks the assessor. Placement Determination: Beginner Ernie interacts with the Assessor, solicits attention, is easy to handle and tolerates all petting. This cat can go to a beginner home.
