Emperor came in as a stray kitty but his purrsonality has made him catch the attention of the staff. A volunteer writes: This recent arrival (when I met him) caught my attention from the back of his kennel. I felt that he would like some attention, & wouldn’t you know, I was right. Within a few seconds he was responding to my petting him, looked much less anxious, showing me the real emperor he is. He seems very gentle and is definitely a sweetie. This sweet cat caught the shelter cold and now they will cure it with death!! PLEASE CONTACT A RESCUE NOW TO PULL THIS ROYAL SWEETIE FROM THE EUTH LIST AND INTO YOUR HOME!!

Reaction to touch: Emperor stands with tail down, but head-butts the assessor’s hand and appreciates petting on the head and body. Reaction to Being Picked up: He becomes antsy and jumped back into the cage. Placement determination: Average Emperor interacts with the observer, appreciates attention, is easy to handle and tolerates all petting.
