I came in the shelter as a STRAY on 07/08/2015 from NY 10467, owner surrender reason stated was STRAY. I came in with Group/Litter #K15-022068.

07/08/15 14:22 Empanada (adult), Salsa (adult), Queso (kitten), and Tamale (kitten) were trapped and brought to ACC. They lived together and with other cats. They were being fed and had some interaction with their caretakers. Empanada appears healthy. The cats and kittens were tense during their intake and fled. Empanada, Salsa, and Queso allowed us to pick them up and put them in carriers. Due to their fleeing behavior, we were unable to collar them or take their photographs, but we were able to scan them (all negative).

Reaction to assessor: Empanada looks neutral in her cage when approached by the assessor. Reaction to door opening: Empanda remains lying down on her cage bedding, alert with soft eyes. Reaction to touch: Empanda stands with tail up, head-butts the assessor’s hand and appreciates petting on the head and body. Reaction to Being Picked up: She calmly jumps back into her cage. Placement determination: Average Empanada interacts with the observer, appreciates attention, is easy to handle and tolerates all petting. This cat is showing behavior appropriate for new or experienced cat parents.
