***SAFE 12/21/15*** LOVELY EMILY LOST HER OWNER AND HER HOME….EMILY’S owner was evicted and she ended up at the ACC. All the stress has caused her to have a UTI and not only is she afraid but also in pain. EMILY is already SPAYED and two years old. EMILY WOULD LOVE TO FEEL SAFE AGAIN BUT SHE IS JUST SO SCARED RIGHT NOW!! Please help EMILY find a safe space for the holidays whether it is a temporary home (FOSTER) or a purrmanent home (ADOPT)….NO ONE SHOULD LOSE THEIR HOME FOR THE HOLIDAYS NOR SHOULD THEY LOSE THEIR LIFE!!

Emily was bought into the care center due to the previous owner dealing with an eviction. Reaction to assessor: Emily comes to the front of the cage and sniffs the assessor When spoken quietly: Emily stays at front of the cage and continues looking at the assessor Reaction to door cage opening: Emily retreats to the back of the cage Reaction to touch: Emily hisses with her ears back and tries to avoid being touched. Must go very slow to pet her. Try picking cat up: Emily not tolerant of this type of handling. Behavior Determination: Experience No Child At the time of the assessment Emily was displaying fearful behavior; does not seek attention from the assessor and becomes alert when the kennel was open. Retreats as I started to get closer. I was able to pet her and interact with her in a limited way. We recommend that this cat goes to a home with experienced cat parents with no children.
