ELIJAH – A1059561
Gone 12-10-2015 Manhattan
***GONE 12/10/15*** ELIJAH was found by an unnamed Finder who kept him for 1 day before handing him over into the clenches of the ACC. This guy has been tested previously for FIV/FeLV and tested NEGATIVE for both which is great to know about any STRAY cat. The 5 year old is very fearful in the shelter and therefore, rated EXPNOCHILD. But once this guy gets used to a new home,it’s likely that he will become your best friend for LIFE! PLEASE, offer to FOSTER or ADOPT ELIJAH! With a name like that, straight out of the Bible, here’s hoping that a higher power guides a FOSTER or ADOPTER to give this guy a heavenly HOME!

12/04/2015 PET PROFILE MEMO
12/04/15 11:38 Elijah is an adult male DSH cat. He was found in the hallway of a building. His finder kept him for 1 day before bringing him to ACC. She reports that he’s friendly with strangers and allowed her to pick him up and put him in a carrier. She kept him with another male cat she found (possibly from the same home as him) and they were relaxed together. Elijah used the litterbox. Elijah had a soft body while I picked him up, scanned him (-), collared him, positioned him for pictures, and put him in a kennel. He walked around on the counter and didn’t resist, retreat, or vocalize.

12/08/2015 BEHAVIOR EVALUATION – EXPNOCHILD
Exam Type BEHAVIOR
Reaction to assessor: Elijah looks neutral in his cage when approached by the assessor. Reaction to door opening: Elijah remains crouched down at the back of the cage, alert with soft eyes. Reaction to touch: Elijah accepts the stroke on the head, but along the body he becomes anxious and hisses at the assessor’s hand. Placement determination: Experience / no child Elijah tolerates attention and petting but may be fearful in the shelter, and may be intimidated by small children. Due to the behaviors seen in the care center, we feel that this cat will do best in a calm, quiet home with experienced cat parents and without children.
