I am a female black domestic sh mix. The shelter thinks I am about 4 YEARS old.

I came in the shelter as a STRAY on 08/20/2015 from NY 10475, owner surrender reason stated was STRAY.

08/23/2015 BEHAVIOR EVALUATION – EXPNOCHILD
Exam Type BEHAVIOR
Reaction to assessor: Eleanor was calm and relaxed upon approach. She shifts her body and turns to look at the assessor when softly spoken to. Reaction to cage door opening: Eleanor becomes stiff and alert. Reaction to touch: Eleanor lowers her head and hisses as the assessor’s hand approaches her. She twitches when pet and continues to hiss, but does not display any further reaction. Behavior Determination: Experience No Child Please note that this cat has been diagnosed with a neurologic condition at the time of evaluation. It is difficult to determine at this time how the medical condition may be affecting the behavior. She tolerates attention and petting but may be fearful or stressed in the shelter, and may be intimidated by small children. Due to the behaviors seen in the care center, we feel that this cat will do best in a calm, quiet home with experienced cat parents and without children.
