***SAFE 08/13/15*** EDGAR IS A 4 MONTH OLD KITTEN WHO WILL BE KILLED BECAUSE HE’S A LITTLE SHY! This little boy with the poignant expression is a little scared, but did allow petting. What Edgar needs is some stability and safety and a chance to de-stress in a place that isn’t scary like ACC. EDGAR is a baby, and with a little love, kindness and patience he’d be looking for petting and play from you-but for that, this little tuxie boy needs out of the ACC. Will you help by offering to foster him? Black and white cats have a hard time getting out alive-will you give him that chance? SAVE 4 MONTH OLD EDGAR NOW!!!

08/11/2015 BEHAVIOR EVALUATION – EXPNOCHILD
Exam Type BEHAVIOR
Reaction to Assessor: Edgar becomes alert and focuses on the assessor. He continues to stare at the assessor when softly spoken to. Reaction to cage door opening: Edgar becomes stiff and alert, and slowly retreats to the back. Reaction to touch: Edgar tries to avoid touch and shifts away from the assessor’s hand, but allows touch and remains tense and immobile when pet on his head and body. Reaction to being picked up: Edgar becomes tense, but allows handling. Behavior Determination: Experience No Child Edgar tolerates attention and petting but may be fearful or stressed in the shelter, and may be intimidated by small children. He may be a little more independent, and may need time to warm up to his new home. Due to the behaviors seen in the care center, we feel that this cat will do best in a calm, quiet home with experienced cat parents and without children.
