04/28/15 19:42 BASIC INFO Dustiny’s family got him 1 year ago from a pet store and surrendered him due to allergies. SOCIALIZATION Dustiny is friendly with strangers and hasn’t bit/scratched anyone. He hasn’t been around children or other pets. BEHAVIOR Dustiny enjoys being brushed. He doesn’t mind being put in a carrier or woken up. Sometimes he enjoys being picked up/held and sometimes he jumps away. FOR A NEW FAMILY TO KNOW Dustiny’s family describes him as friendly, affectionate, playful, quiet, confident, mellow, and low activity. He follows and sits on his owner. When she visits her neighbor down the hall, he waits at their door for her. He likes balls and plays gently with people. He also likes sitting in the window. Dustiny lived inside and slept with his owner. He ate wet food and got chicken as a treat. He used an uncovered litterbox with clumping litter. He’s littertrained and doesn’t have accidents. He scratched a horizontal cardboard scratching pad and a carpet scratching pad. He doesn’t scratch furniture. INTAKE Dustiny had a relaxed body during handling-picking up, putting in kennel, scan (negative), collar, petting, pictures. He sat at the edge of his kennel and looked around. He was easy to handle and didn’t resist, retreat, or vocalize.

Please take note: Dustiny’s former family describes him as friendly, affectionate, playful, quiet, confident, mellow, and low activity. Reaction to assessor: Dustiny immediately comes soliciting at the front of the cage. Reaction to door opening: Dustiny remains at the front of the cage, soft and relaxed, soliciting attention. Reaction to touch: Dustiny rubs on the assessor’s hand, purrs, and appreciates petting on the head and body. Reaction to Being Picked up: Allows the pickup and remains calm. Placement determination: Beginner Dustiny interacts with the Assessor, solicits attention, is easy to handle and tolerates all petting. This cat can go to a beginner home.
