DUCHESS – A1060562
Safe 12-19-2015 Manhattan
***SAFE 12/19/15*** YET ANOTHER SENIOR! There’s just something really wrong with a world that can allow the treatment (or lack of) that leaves a cat in the condition that DUCHESS entered the ACC in! And yet ,the ACC continues to play the part and not take on responsibility for the care of this 15 year old gent! He came in an dehydrated, emaciated, geriatric. From his high kidney numbers, it appears that DUCHESS may have kidney disease though a competent vet visit is needed for that kind of determination. If you do one thing right in your life, take this AVERAGE rated guy and give him some life! If you FOSTER, the RESCUE will foot the bill, you may also ADOPT him through the Public Adoption Site but be prepared to take on responsibility for the care he so desperately needs! No matter which way, he just needs you! PLEASE, offer to take DUCHESS and be his queen! He deserves the royal treatment!

Exam Type BEHAVIOR
Duchess was brought in as a stray, so we cannot speak to her behavior in her previous home. The finder brought her into their apartment, but did not interact with her much. Please be aware that Duchess is being treated for a severe medical condition at the time of the behavior evaluation. It is difficult to determine at this time how the medical condition may be affecting the behavior, but in spite of her condition, she remains social and affectionate. Reaction to assessor: Duchess was resting in her cage upon approach. Reaction when softly spoken to: Duchess does not respond and continues to sleep. Reaction to cage door opening: Duchess wakes and looks at the assessor with relaxed eyes. Reaction to touch: Duchess remains in place and allows petting on her head and back. She leans into touch when pet on her cheeks and begins to purr. Reaction to being picked up: Duchess remains soft and allows all handling.
