Dream came to the care center as a stray so we have no prior behavior information before coming to the care center. Upon intake at the care center Dream was friendly and allowed handling. However, Dream does not appear to be acclimating well to the care center and is now showing fearful behavior.
Reaction to assessor: Dream does not come to the front of the cage and attempts to hide upon approach.
Reaction to cage door opening: Continues to cower and hide looking for a point of escape.
Reaction to touch: Dream becomes stiff and crouches, tensing upon touch.
Placement determination: Experienced adopter without children
Dream appears fearful of human interaction and may have been poorly socialized. We recommend an experienced adopter familiar with the socialization process who can provide Dream with positive experiences to help build his confidence and trust.
