RELATIONSHIP Drama’s previous owner received her from a friend about 11 years ago. She is currently about 11 years old. She scanned negative for a microchip. PEOPLE She lived in a home with 3 adults. She has never interacted with children. She is usually gentle when she plays with her owner. She has never bitten anyone. OTHER ANIMALS Nina (A1033642) and Drama (A1033643) live together. They are usually relaxed or affectionate around each other and when they play, they are usually exuberant. They often groom each other and sleep near each other. They have not bitten any other animals. PERSONALITY/HABITS She is an indoor only cat who is not very active. She has been described as playful, friendly, talkative, shy, mellow, affectionate, and independent. She enjoys playing with balls, strings, and wand toys. She doesn’t like baths and usually struggles to get away, hisses, swats, and bites. She also struggles to get away if you trim her nails or put her in a carrier. She enjoys being held. She is afraid when you brush her. She isn’t bothered if you disturb her while she is sleeping. She likes to stay in a favorite spot when her owner is home. She eats Iams dry food and she enjoys pork treats. She tends to scratch on the furniture or a cardboard box. It should be noted that she doesn’t have a scratching post to scratch on. She usually sleeps in the living room. TRAINING She is litter box trained and she doesn’t usually have accidents. BEHAVIOR DURING INTAKE She was somewhat nervous during the intake. She was reluctant to come out of her carrier, and once out, she kept trying to jump off of the counter. Her body was somewhat stiff and she kept licking her lips. She allowed handling and showed no signs of aggression. She was eager to go back into her carrier.

She is afraid when you brush her. Reaction to assessor: Drama looks neutral in her cage when approached by the assessor. Reaction to door opening: Drama remains sitting upright on her cage bedding, alert with soft eyes. Reaction to touch: Drama accepts the stoke, purrs in place, and appreciates petting on the head and body. Reaction to Being Picked up: She becomes antsy and jumps back into her cage. Placement determination: Average Drama interacts with the observer, appreciates attention, is easy to handle and tolerates all petting. This cat is showing behavior appropriate for new or experienced cat parents.
