04/13/2015 BEHAVIOR EVALUATION – AVERAGE
Exam Type BEHAVIOR
Reaction to assessor: Dragon was calm, relaxed, and friendly upon approach. When softly spoken to, he looks at the assessor with relaxed eyes. Reaction to cage door opening: Dragon remains soft and relaxed. Reaction to touch: Dragon remains in place for petting and begins to purr while his tail swishes from side to side. Reaction to being picked up: Dragon remains calm and allows handling. Note: Dragon was brought in as a stray, so we cannot speak to his behavior in his previous home. He was easy to handle upon intake and during his initial medical exam. However, because Dragon is emaciated and weak, it is difficult to tell at this time how his medical condition is influencing the behavior. Please note that his behavior may change once his medical condition is addressed and he has fully recovered. Behavior Determination: Average Dragon interacts with the observer, appreciates attention, is easy to handle and tolerates all petting. This cat is showing behavior appropriate for new or experienced cat parents.
