Delightful DORA, a beautiful 5-year-old black tabby and gray girl, was dumped into the kill-happy ACC due to PERSONAL PROBLEMS. Dora came into the shelter with her two best fur friends Squeekie (A1038536) and Spunky (A1035837, both still available in the URGENT album). At home, Dora was “relaxed, affectionate and respectful towards everyone in the household. Dora is an indoor cat and activity level is to a medium. Dora is playful, confident, mellow, friendly and independent. Dora likes to play with balls, shoe strings, and rugs. Dora likes sleeping and watching her favorite movie called Finding Nemo. She likes to be scratched on her chin and back. Dora likes to lay by window sill and catch a breeze.” Dora earned a very good EXPERIENCE behavior rating, but this sweet girl will DIE at noon tomorrow. an INNOCENT VICTIM of the ubiquitous ACC kitty cold and a badly broken shelter system. Owner stated Dora is healthy and has no health issues. Owner came to surrender Dora because of personal problem. Social Life and Personality: Dora lived with 4 adults and has been around children. Owner stated Dora is relaxed, affectionate and respectful towards everyone in the household. Owner stated Dora likes to be alone at times so when visitor comes around she takes long to get use to them. Dora lived with 2 other cats name Squeekie A1038536 and Spunky A1035837. Dora gets along with the two cats but doesn’t appear to be bonded owner stated. Owner stated Dora been around a dog she became curious but never interacted with one. Dora is an indoor cat and activity level is to a medium. Owner stated Dora is playful, confident, mellow, friendly and independent. Behavior Issues: Owner stated Dora never bitten or scratched anyone. Dora hides in fear when visitors she unaware of. Owner stated Dora is tolerant of taking a bath but mostly cleans herself. Dora likes to be brushed but she will let owner know when she wants to be picked up and held by come by owner and laying down. For a New Family to Know: Dora is litter box trained and shares a hooded litter box with two other cats. Dora likes to play with balls, shoe string, run away and rugs. Dora likes sleep and watching her favorite movie called Finding Nemo. She likes to be scratched on her chin and back. Dora likes to lay by window sill and catch a breeze owner stated. Dora eats wet and dry food but prefers dry food called Purina twice a day. Dora likes to eat Temptation and sleep on her pet bed. Intake Behavior: Upon intake Dora was nervous, didn’t want to get out of carrier and timid. She scanned negative for a microchip and allowed limited handling.

Owner Profile: Dora was bought into the care center with by her previous owner due to being evited. Dora lived with four adults and has been around children. The previous owner stated Dora is relaxed, affectionate and respectful towards everyone in the household. Dora is said to be shy so when visitors comes around she takes long to get use to them. Dora lived with two other cats ( Squeekie A1038536 and Spunky A1035837). Dora got along with the two cats. Owner stateDora has been around a dog and she became curious but never interacted with him. Dora is litter box trained. Notes: Dora at the time of the assessment was displaying fearful behavior; does not seek attention from the assessor and becomes alert when the kennel was open. Remains motionless as I started to get closer but after a steady slow approach using soft voices she relaxed a little and I was able to pet her and interact with her in a limited way. I was also able to pick her up and although she was tense no fractious behavior was display. We recommend that this cat go to a home with experienced cat parents. Reaction to assessor: does not come to front but remains neutral When spoken quietly: does not come to front but remains neutral Reaction to door cage opening: remains motionless Reaction to touch: seems indifferent to my presence and touch Try picking cat up: tolerant of this type of handling but tense.
