Gone 10-24-2015 Manhattan
***GONE 10/24/15***ANOTHER CHANCE FOR THIS SAD BUT SWEET TERRIFIC TABBY WHO NEEDS YOU NOW MORE THAN EVER! Domiziana is a six year old brown and white tabby with the cutest white socks. This great girl was found outside of her finder’s building—most likely a former housepet. Domiziana may have spent sometime on the street as she is thin but solicits attention from people. She likes to be petted and handled but gives love nips. Please don’t hold that against her. She is a sweetheart who needs a special purrson to step up for her tonight to make sure that she doesn’t become another sad ACC stat when tomorrow afternoon rolls around. Can you open up your heart and home to Domiziana? Please reserve her online or let a rescue know if you can foster or adopt. All you need is a spare room or bathroom. Domiziana deserves a chance to live and would be a purrfect companion to a lucky new purrson. Can that special someone be you? Make the call for this sad but sweet terrific tabby NOW!!!

10/22/2015 BEHAVIOR EVALUATION – EXPNOCHILD
Exam Type BEHAVIOR
Reaction to assessor: Dominiziana looks neutral in her cage when approached by the assessor. Reaction to door opening: Dominiziana lying down, body posture relaxed, and eyes are normal shape. Reaction to touch: Dominiziana head-butts the assessor’s hand and appreciates petting on the head and body. However, after a few strokes she becomes agitated with the touch and started to nip and grumble while she solicits more attention. Placement determination: Experience /no child Initially Domiziana solicits petting and attention, but after a few soft passes over the body she begins to nip and grumble at the assessor. This may be a sign of petting-induced aggression, where repeated physical contact results in discomfort for the cat, or it may be a sign of overstimulation. As a result of this observed behavior we recommend adopters who are familiar with signs of behavioral arousal and agitation in cats, so that interactions can be ended before Domiziana becomes reactive. Treats should be used to reward appropriate responses to physical attention.
