***SAFE 11/20/15***GORGEOUS GREY GIRL NEEDS NEW FRIEND! Darling Disney desperately needs us to advocate for her precious life tonight. This poor two year old girl who was a faithful feline friend to her former family since she was two months old, was dumped at the kill happy shelter a little over a week ago due to “attacking people.” Actually, this normally sweet and loving kitty was having a little trouble adapting to her new home—not handling the change well. Disney is also a new mom (we are not sure of the whereabouts of her kittens). Disney has been a good girl at the shelter—tolerating all petting and handling but is rescue only. Disney needs a new “leash on life”—a kind purrson who would give her a chance to return to her normally sweet self. Can you be that special someone to open up your heart and home to this precious pet? Please let a rescue know if you can help darling Disney. Transportation is available by contacting one of our NH partners. Remember, fostering saves lives so let a rescue know if you can offer temporary safe haven. This gorgeous girl only has tonight. We are her only hope. Don’t let her down!!!

11/16/2015 BEHAVIOR EVALUATION – EXPNOCHILD
Exam Type BEHAVIOR
As per previous owner, Disney is described as a shy, quiet cat. She gets nervous around strangers and will run and hide when someone comes over. When Disney’s owners moved to a new house she did not adapt well to the new environment. Please note that this cat has a medical condition so we may not be seeing any true behavior and behavior may change when the cat’s medical condition improves. Reaction to assessor: Disney makes eye contact with the assessor and starts to stress meow. She appears to be nauseous. Reaction when softly spoken to: Disney comes forward and rubs her head against the kennel door. Reaction to cage door opening: Disney is calm and relaxed. Reaction to touch: Disney allows petting and will continue to solicit attention. She paces back and forth and starts to lose her balance. Behavior Determination: Experience No Child Disney may be a little more independent, and may need time to warm up to his or her new home. She may have some behavioral issues that will need to be addressed in the home. Due to the behaviors seen in the care center, we feel that this cat will do best in a calm, quiet home with experienced cat parents and without children.
