I came in the shelter as a STRAY on 06/30/2015 from NY 10307, owner surrender reason stated was STRAY.

06/30/15 11:37 Profile wasn’t left due to animal being stray. Behavior During Intake: Dina came into the facility in a cat carrier and appeared to be vocal. Upon extension of the hand Dina remained still. I then rubbed her head. I was able to handle her with no issues.

Reaction to assessor: Does not come to the front but looks, soft and relaxed. (1) Reaction to being spoken to quietly: Comes up, solicits attention, rubbing against the cage front. (1) Reaction to cage door opening: Remains soft and relaxed. (1) Reaction to touch: Solicits petting and attention, purrs. (1) Reaction to being picked up: Calm during this type of handling. Notes: Dina came to the shelter as a stray, so we don’t have any behavioral history or tendencies in a home environment. At the time of the assessment, Dina is displaying friendly behavior. She interacts with the assessor and appreciates all handling. Dina is exhibiting behavior suited for beginning or experienced cat parents.
