Beautiful black and white five-year-old Siamese beauty DIAMOND finds herself stuffed into the kill-happy ACC for “NOT BEING SOCIALLY ENGAGED WITH FAMILY” and they also mentioned LITTER BOX ISSUES: “She has also been urinating outside of her hooded litter box for the last 5 and a half years. She has never been seen by a vet for this issue.” Poor Diamond (who is ALREADY SPAYED) was diagnosed with possible CYSTITIS; apparently she’s been SUFFERING FOR YEARS! This sweet girl allowed all handling during intake and earned a very good EXPNOCHILD behavior rating, but the ACC will KILL this poor scared suffering girl at noon tomorrow! Please open your heart to this dear mistreated, neglected girl! Start RIGHT NOW to apply to foster or adopt betrayed Siamese beauty DIAMOND! If you can’t save DIAMOND yourself, please SHARE her sad story and PLEDGE for her rescue!

07/13/2015 PET PROFILE MEMO
07/13/15 15:16 Diamond is a 6 year old cat that has been with her owner since she was about 4 months. The surrender is due to Diamond not being socially engaged with her family. The owner stated that Diamond lived with 3 adults and with another unaltered cat for the last 4 years. The client states that Diamond is fearful of everyone and will run away to hide when you try to engage with her. She very rarely engages with the other cat. She has also been urinating outside of her hooded litter box for the last 5 and a half years. She has never been seen by a vet for this issue. She will defecate inside the litter box. She does not play with toys and she rarely seeks attention from her family. SHe will claw drapes and furniture. SHe is fed dry food and will graze on it through out the day. At intake, Diamond remained silent and was easily transferred into a carrier. The counselor had limited contact with her, due to being possibly medically compromised and she was rushed back to medical due to her lethargic nature.

07/16/2015 BEHAVIOR EVALUATION – EXPNOCHILD
Exam Type BEHAVIOR
Reaction to Assessor: Diamond was crouched at the back, alert upon approach. When softy spoken to, she looks at the assessor and blinks her eyes. Reaction to cage door opening: Diamond squeezes herself into the back of the cage and attempts to hide. Reaction to touch: Diamond hisses at the assessor’s hand, but allows touch. She remains immobile, lowers her head, and twitches when she is touched on her body. As per previous owner, Diamond lived with 3 adults and another cat since she was 4 months old. They state that Diamond is fearful of everyone and will run away and hide when you try to engage with her. She also rarely engages with the other cat. She has also been urinating outside of her hooded litter box for the last 5 and a half years and have not seen a vet for this issue. Behavior Determination: Experience No Child Diamond tolerates attention and petting but may be fearful or stressed in the shelter, and may be intimidated by small children. Diamond’s previous owner reports that he/she was eliminating outside the litter box. Please note that Diamond is being treated for a possible urinary medical condition in the care center, which may be influencing the urination behavior. We cannot be sure whether this behavior will continue in a home environment after treatment for the medical condition has been completed, but we recommend that potential adopters be comfortable with management and modification techniques for elimination outside the litter box should this behavior continue in a home environment. Due to the behaviors seen in the care center, we feel that this cat will do best in a calm, quiet home with experienced cat parents and without children.
