Reaction to assessor: Dexter meows upon approach. He is calm, relaxed, and friendly. When softly spoken to, he rolls onto the floor and starts to knead on his bedding. Reaction to cage door opening: Dexter remains soft and relaxed. Reaction to touch: Dexter gets up and head-butts the assessor’s hand, begins to purr, and continues to knead. When the petting stopped, he meows at the assessor. Reaction to toy or novel object: Dexter plays with the object gently. Reaction to being picked up: Dexter remains soft and allows all handling. As per previous owner, Dexter has lived with 1 adult and 1 teenager for a year. He has also lived with other cats, in which he got along with fine. They said he loves to play, enjoys petting at times, and loves to cuddle and be picked up at his own pace. Behavior Determination: Beginner Dexter interacts with the Assessor, solicits attention, is easy to handle and tolerates all petting. There is no known history of behavioral problems. This cat can go to a beginner home.
