DASHING DENVER CAME INTO THE ACC WITH A GROUP OF HIS FRIENDS…..DENVER certainly isn’t happy to be here!! He has a NEW HOPE rating because he has probably been on his own for awhile….He’s a healthy guy, just a scared guy!! SPRING IS A GREAT TIME TO FOSTER!! CONSIDER SPEAKING UP FOR DENVER TONIGHT AND GIVING HIM THE CHANCE HE SO DESPERATELY NEEDS!!

04/14/2015 BEHAVIOR EVALUATION – NH ONLY
Exam Type BEHAVIOR
Notes: Denver was brought to the shelter as a stray so we don’t have any behavioral history previous to what we are seeing during the evaluation. He seems to not be thriving in this environment and at the time of the assessment he was displaying behaviors that prevent placement in the adoptions room and may require further investigation before placement in a home. He is extremely fearful and currently does not tolerate petting or handling. The behavior department feels that placement with a New Hope Partner is the best option at this time. Reaction to assessor: attempts to hide upon my approach (3) When spoken quietly: continues to hide (3) Reaction to door cage opening: retreats (3) Reaction to touch: moves away from me, hisses (4) Try picking cat up: not tolerant of this type of handling, very afraid, hisses. Placement Determination: NewHope
