10/04/2015 PET PROFILE MEMO
10/04/15 11:42 Basic Info: Denisha A1053642 is a spayed female “Tortie” DSH feline who was given to the owner at 1wk old from the previous owner and is being surrendered due to the owner going through personal problems. Denisha has no known health problems and was last seen at a veterinarian 2months ago when she was spayed. Socialization: Around strangers Denisha is fearful/aggressive; she’ll hiss and or swat at times if you get too close. Denisha has never been around children or other animals nor has she ever bitten/scratched a person or animal. Behavior: During car rides Denisha will meow/cry at times or is quiet. Denisha has been given a bath and had her nails trimmed at a groomers where the owner hasn’t gotten any reports (good or bad) on Denisha’s behavior during. She doesn’t like being brushed or put into a carrier; she’ll growl, hiss and or run away. Denisha only likes to be picked up/held on her terms when she comes to you for affection, she’ll seek it otherwise she’ll run away. Denisha hasn’t been disturbed while sleeping/resting. For a New Family to Know: Denisha is described as very protective of herself, independent, will come to you for affection/attention & is friendly/affectionate with a medium-very high activity level. Denisha’s favorite thing to do is running around. She’ll follow the owner around sometimes. Denisha enjoys mouse/stuffed toys. She’s an indoor cat mostly who sleeps in a carriage or with the owner. Denisha eats both dry & wet Purina Cat Chow food 1-2x a day. She’s litter box trained, her litter box is hooded with crystals litter within. Denisha doesn’t have a scratching post and the owner hasn’t noticed if she scratches on items in/around the home. Intake Behavior: Denisha began to growl as I approached her/her carrier. I was able to scan her (-) and as I attempted to pick her up she growled louder, hissed & attempted to swat. She ran into the kennel on her own, attempted to hide in her litter box while remaining with a low body posture and following our every move. During her stay with us at the BXAC, Denisha “went” (#2) outside of her litter box.
