Medical Behavior Evaluation GREEN
Medical Summary S/O: BAR, tolerable of exam, cooperative with handling. Vet check/initial for report of inability to use hind limbs. On presentation, patient was sitting upright with hind limbs lateral. scan negative mm = pink, moist, CRT<2sec hydration = sl. prolonged skin tent Integ = dirty hind end, covered in feces; no obvious ectoparasites EENT = eyes with mild mucoid discharge, OU, clean AU, nnd, oligodontia (several incisors), mild to mod. gingivitis, with gingival recession, and mild tartar. H/L = nma, nsr; clear lung fields bilaterally Abdomen = snp, nmp; kidneys S+S GU = mn MS = Ambulatory x 2; RHL is edematous and bruised in the proximal medial aspect; poss. crepitus palpated in proximal limb, above stifle. On LHL, patient can move the limb and attempts to rise with it, but doesn’t attempt walking. LN = wnl CNS = appropriate A: edematous, bruised RHL – r/o likely fractured dental disease P: Recommend radiographs of RHL to confirm fracture, then needs New Hope placement once stray wait is over. Gave 100 mL SQ LRS once 0.17 mL Buprenex (0.03 mg/kg) SQ once – continue BID x 3 days Pyrantel administered Flea treatment administered vaccines given
