Right now, they need an understanding purrson or purrsons to help them through their grieving and find a new, loving home. I came in the shelter as a STRAY on 11/17/2015 from NY 10303, owner surrender reason stated was OWNER DIED. I came in with Group/Litter #K15-039907.

11/27/15 12:49 no V 12/25 S/O- Eating well, no vomit or diarrhea noted in cage, Physical exam not performed as animal is cowering in the back of the cage. A: cat reported to be vomiting, no vomit noted in cage. P: Cat was started on Famciclovir but no indication was given for why. Stress of Famciclovir administration in a frightened cat could contribute to vomiting or reaction directly to famciclovir could be due to vomiting. Will discontinue Famciclovir.

December was brought in as a stray, so we cannot speak to her behavior in her previous home. December was being monitored by the Enrichment Facilitator and was described as being fearful and tense upon intake. Reaction to assessor: December makes eye contact with the assessor and lick lips. Reaction when softly spoken to: December lowers her head and starts to breathe heavy. Reaction to cage door opening: December inches away slowly and slow blinks. Reaction to touch: December is tolerant of petting but she tries to hide her face. Her body is tense and she stress meows. Behavior Determination: Experience December tolerates attention and petting but may be fearful or stressed in the shelter. We recommend that this cat go to a home with experienced cat parents.
