***SAFE 07/22/15*** DANI IS SO SPECIAL THAT A SPECIAL PLEA WENT OUT FOR HIM FROM ACC ‘DANI IS BLIND AND NEEDS YOU TONIGHT! DANI IS THE SWEETEST KITTY, SO GENTLE AND LOVING!’ DANI is having a hard time of it, this was clearly someone’s cat, he’s neutered, and very gentle. DANI needs to see a competent vet-and will need to be evaluated for a thyroid condition-or something else-but DANI is special-he is one of those gentle cats that really makes you want to go ‘yes-let me help!’ DANI could be a good foster cat-he’s not that old-listed as 10, and with his health issues attended to, DANI would thrive and do well. At the very least, it’s heart breaking to think this gentle soul will be killed at ACC without friend or home-will you help DANI tonight? He deserves so much better!

07/18/15 16:20 Dani is a gray and white female domestic short hair cat who is approximately 2 yrs. old. Dani was found wandering the street and was brought to ACC for assistance. Dani was calm and aloof throughout the Intake process and also demonstrated some signs of nervous behavior. Dani withdrew further ito the carrier she was brought in when an attempt was made to transfer her into a new carrier. When Dani felt more comfortable she allowed herself to be transferred into a new carrier and she also allowed herself to be collared. Dani became more alert and easier to handle when she was fed. Dani allowed herself to be photographed and handled with minimal effort after she was fed. Dani appears to be alert and easy to handle when she feels comfortable in a new surrounding.

07/21/2015 BEHAVIOR EVALUATION – AVERAGE
Exam Type BEHAVIOR
Notes: Dani was bought into the care center as a stray. We do not have any behavioral information previous to what we are seeing. At the time of the evaluation it was noticed that Dani circles his cage due to him being blind. He is trying to get adjusted to the new enviroment. Dani allows petting and handling. When petting Dani a slow soft touch should be used so he does not become spooked. Dani is displaying behavior appropriate for new or experienced cat parents. Reaction to assessor: sits at front of cage, seems unfocused When spoken quietly: stays at front, remains calm Reaction to door cage opening: tries to walk out of cage Reaction to touch: allows all petting, calm and relaxed Try picking cat up: Dani is relaxed while being held Placement Determination: Average
