** GONE 06/10/15 *** DAISY AND TUXEDO ARE HOUSEMATES ON THE LIST TONITE…..Their third housemate OCA was on the list last night and his status is unknown. All three were rescued as strays but now are at the ACC due to landlord issues. DAISY is SPAYED but TUXEDO is not neutered. They are both 8 months old and have a high energy level so they will keep you busy!! All three cats got along with each other……NOW IS THE TIME TO SPEAK UP FOR THESE LITTLE ONES!! PLEASE OFFER TO FOSTER OR ADOPT!! AND SAVE THEIR LIVES!!

06/06/15 18:32 Basic Information Daisy was brought in as an owner surrender, due to owner having landlord issues. Daisy is a 8-month old spayed female. Owner and a friend got the cats from outside, and have been attempting to socialize them for the past two months. Owner says Daisy has no injuries or health concerns, and when asked what he adores most about Daisy he chose her affection for the other cats in the home. Personality & Behavior Owner describes Daisy as playful and energetic with a very high activity level. Daisy is litter-box trained, and has been kept indoors only. Owner says Daisy hasn’t been around any dogs or children. Owner says when dealing with the other two cats she was living with Daisy was affectionate and gentle. Owner describes Daisy as talkative and assertive, and says she finds a way to tell him if hungry or thirsty. Ownersays Daisy is fearful and will hide for majority of the day. Owner says he hasn’t had any issues with Daisy scratching or biting anyone or another animal. According to owner, Daisy hasn’t been bathed, brushed, or had her nails trimmed. Owner says he has never held her because she hasn’t been fully socialized yet. Owner says Daisy does not like to be placed in the carrier and will hiss and swat. For a New Family to Know Daisy is used to using the clay form of litter, with an uncovered high-step litter-box. Owner says Daisy enjoys playing with balls and cat nip toys. Owner says when home Daisy rarely seeks attention, and uses a horizontal cardboard scratching post. Owner says Daisy is usually relaxed during car rides, and is free fed dry food. Owner says Daisy falls asleep anywhere, and is unbothered if disturbed while sleeping Behavior during Intake Daisy was afraid during intake. She hid in the back of her carrier, and once out she attempted to escape. Although afraid Daisy showed no signs of aggression during intake.

Daisy’s former owner describes Daisy as playful and energetic with a very high activity level. When dealing with the other two cats she was living with Daisy was affectionate and gentle. Also, she is fearful and will hide for majority of the day. Reaction to assessor: Daisy looks tense in her cage when approached by the assessor. Reaction to door opening: Daisy remains crouched down turned sideways at the back of the cage, alert with pupils fully dilated. Reaction to touch: Daisy avoids contact, panics in place, and attempts to escape her cage. Placement determination: NH ONLY Daisy is displaying behaviors that preclude placement in the adoptions room. She is extremely fearful in the shelter environment and does not currently tolerate petting. The behavior department feels that placement with a New Hope Partner is the best option at this time.
