DAFFY – A1057175
Safe 11-16-2015 Brooklyn
**SAFE 11/16/15** DAFFY “is very frightened and tries to flee”, claim the assessor. Let’s pick that sentence apart. DAFFY is just 4 months old, thrown into a loud, overcrowded shelter but is expected to WANT to stay? It’s ridiculous to even assess an animal while in the shelter setting. So the frightened and nervous girl has been hammered with RESCUE ONLY rating and needs someone to contact a NEW HOPE RESCUE in her behalf and offer to FOSTER or ADOPT DAFFY! If you believe in the love a rescued cat will show you, offer her your home…if you don’t think so then you have nothing to lose!

Exam Type BEHAVIOR
Daffy behavior was monitored by the enichment faciliator pior to her evaluation. They noticed Daffy is very uncomfortable and tense in the care center. Reaction to assessor: Daffy watches the assessor from the back of the cage. Her eyes dart around looking for an exit When spoken quietly: Daffy continues watching the assessor Reaction to door cage opening: Daffy attempts to flee Reaction to touch: Daffy attempts to flee Try picking cat up: Daffy does not allow handling Behavior Determination: New Hope Daffy seems to not be thriving in this environment and at the time of the assessment. She was displaying behaviors that preclude placement in the adoptions room and may require further investigation before placement in a home. She is extremely fearful and tries to flee. The behavior department feels that placement with a New Hope Partner is the best option at this time.
