DAFFODIL – A1059013
Gone 12-10-2015 Manhattan
***GONE 12/10/15***AVERAGE-rated DAFFODIL is a poised young DUDE who is almost certainly someone’s pet. His gleaming coat, his nice manners, his initially good health prior to catching the shelter cold, all point to a cat who knows what it is to be loved. Leave it to the ACC to not know his gender, and further, to not be able to find him a home. Read these glowing staff comments—but remember that this is a MALE cat—and then find a foster or adopter to save DAFFODIL, tonight! “A staff member writes: “What’s as pretty as a yellow daffodil in spring? A delicate cat named Daffodil. But don’t be fooled by how gentle and mellow she is. She also has her playful and curious side, given the chance. She can also be a bit chatty if she’s trying to get you to come over to spend some time with her. And did I mention, she also likes to be petted? Come in and meet this sweet little girl.””

11/30/2015 BEHAVIOR EVALUATION – AVERAGE
Exam Type BEHAVIOR
Reaction to assessor: Daffodil comes to the front of the cage – soliciting attention, rubbing against cage front and reaching out with paws. Reaction when softly spoken to: Daffodil stays at the front – continues to solicit attention, rubbing against the cage front, and meowing. Reaction to cage door opening: Daffodil remains soft and relaxed. Reaction to touch: Daffodil solicits petting and attention – rubbing against the assessor’s hand. Reaction to being picked up: Daffodil sits calmly in the assessor’s arms, but becomes uncomfortable when he sees other cats and begins to hiss. Behavior Determination: Average Daffodil remains social and allows handling from his human care takers, but please be aware that he may be uncomfortable around other cats. He has been noted to hiss whenever another cat appears in his line of vision. Due to this behavior, we recommend Daffodil goes to a home with no other cats OR into a multi-cat home with adopters experienced with introducing new cats slowly and gradually over a long period of time. This cat is suitable for new or experienced cat parents.
