DAFFODIL – A1046849
8-12-2015 Brooklyn
***SAFE 08/12/2015*** DAFFODIL came in from the Marine Park section of Brooklyn, a stunning green eyed pastel calico. Labeled a ‘stray’ and brought in as a ‘stray’ she was at first shy with touch but did allow it, after being nervous in the highly loud Brooklyn ACC. DAFFODIL may well be lost, or abandoned. She’s not spayed and has ear mites which indicate she’s probably been outside awhile, but otherwise sweet DAFFODIL is in pretty good condition-but as a shy ‘stray’ she’s in danger and really needs you tonight. Please save this striking girl who really is wonderful. Without you she has little chance of making it out of ACC alive.

08/10/2015 BEHAVIOR EVALUATION – EXPNOCHILD
Exam Type BEHAVIOR
Reaction to Assessor: Daffodil was calm and relaxed upon approach. She focuses on the assessor when softly spoken to. Reaction to cage door opening: Daffodil becomes stiff and alert. Reaction to touch: Daffodil focuses on the assessor’s hand and shifts away to avoid touch. She twitches when touched briefly, retreats, and hisses. She does not display any further reaction, but she blinks and lip licks as the assessor pulls their hand away. Behavior Determination: Experience No Child Daffodil tolerates attention and petting but may be fearful or stressed in the shelter, and may be intimidated by small children. She may be a little more independent, and may need time to warm up to her new home. Due to the behaviors seen in the care center, we feel that this cat will do best in a calm, quiet home with experienced cat parents and without children.
