I am a female black and white domestic sh mix. The shelter thinks I am about 1 YEAR 7 MONTHS old.

I came in the shelter as a OWNER SUR on 07/16/2015 from NY 10468, owner surrender reason stated was MOVE2PRIVA.

07/16/15 09:15 Basic Info: Cybil s a 1 1/2 yr old female black & white feline who was given to the owner by a neighbor at 4months of age and is being surrendered due to moving to where there are pet restrictions. Cybil hasn’t been to a veterinarian and has no known health issues/injuries. Socialization: Around strangers Cybil is friendly/outgoing. Cybil has lived with 2 children ages 3yrs & 9yrs & a kitten from a litter she had. Cybil is gentle around them and plays gently & exuberantly with them also adults and her kitten. Cybil hasn’t lived with Dogs but has seen dogs near her residence that she would ignore. Cybil has never bitten/scratched any person or animal. Behavior: According to the owner Cybil is greedy & will eat off your plate if you aren’t watching. She has gotten into a grocery bag, opened a packet of ground beef and ate some. During bath time Cybil will struggle at first also when being put into a carrier. She enjoys being brushed, picked up & held. She hasn’t had her nails trimmed or been disturbed while sleeping/resting so behaviors are unknown. For a New Family to Know: Cybil is described as friendly, affectionate, playful & talkative when hungry. Her activity level is high. The owners’ favorite things about Cybil are how affectionate she is and she was an excellent mother to her litter. Cybil’s favorite activities include running around the home, playing with/chasing her kitten around. When the owner is home Cybil is usually playing with her kitten so she doesn’t follow them around. Cybil enjoys ball, string & wand toys. She’s an indoor/outdoor cat who sleeps indoors where ever she wants. Cybil eats Nine Lives dry food. Her favorite treats are Temptations. Cybil uses either the uncovered or the hooded litter box with clumping or crystals litter within. Cybil uses a scratching post/cat tower, it has rough rope and carpet on it. Intake Behavior: During intake Cybil allowed all handling. She allowed us to scan (-), collar, and take her pictures including positioning her during the photo shoot. Cybil was sitting in front of her kennel soliciting attention/affection rubbing her face/body along the bars of the kennels and on our hands and camera lens as we took her picture.

Cybil’s former owner stated around strangers she is friendly/outgoing. She has lived with 2 children ages 3yrs & 9yrs & a kitten from a litter she had. Cybil is gentle around them and plays gently & exuberantly with them also adults and her kitten. Cybil hasn’t lived with dogs, but has seen dogs near her residence that she would ignore. Reaction to assessor: Cybil immediately comes soliciting at the front of the cage. Reaction to door opening: Cybil remains at the front of the cage, soft and relaxed, soliciting attention. Reaction to touch: Cybil rubs on the assessor’s hand and appreciates petting on the head and body. Reaction to Being Picked up: Allows the pickup and remains calm. Placement determination: Beginner Cybil interacts with the Assessor, solicits attention, is easy to handle and tolerates all petting. This cat can go to a beginner home.
