CURIE – A1033245
4-26-2015 Brooklyn Rescue: ***SAFE*** Pulled by Staten Island Hope- Donation website: http://www.statenislandhoperescue.org/ Please honor your pledges:
*SAFE 04/26/15* SECOND TIME ON THE LIST, PLEASE MAKE IT COUNT! Curie and his friend, Pat, were brought into the ACC by a former owner who was no longer able to keep them on account of the NYCHA ban. Curie is neutered, gentle, and uncomplicated. He has lived with small animals (in addition to Pat) and got along with them great! Curie can be reserved by an adopter on the ACC website tonight, or anyone who is interested in fostering can reach out to a rescue group for help….but either way, Curie is incredibly fortunate to have been spared the needle today and he will NOT be so lucky again. Please advocate relentlessly for Curie, tonight!

04/21/2015 BEHAVIOR EVALUATION – EXPERIENCE
Exam Type BEHAVIOR
Curie came to us as an owner surrender on 4/15/15. Upon intake it was reported by the previous owner that Curie has lived with other cats and small animals and has gotten along well with the. Curie can be seen in the back of the kennel and does not solicit attention to interact with the assessor. He allows the assessor to touch him and pet him a few times before becoming quickly agitated and hissing at the assessor. The behavior department believes that Curie can go to an experienced home that can be patient and give Curie time to interact at his own pace, and acclimate to his new home. Reaction to assessor: does not come to front but remains neutral (2) When spoken to quietly: does not come to front but remains neutral(2) Reaction to cage door opening: remains motionless or does not respond (2) Reaction to touch: Accepts first few passes, but then quickly becomes uncomfortable, and hisses and licks lips. (3)
