COWBOY – A1059527

Gone 12-19-2015 Manhattan

Previous | Next

***GONE 12/19/15***RIDE OFF INTO THE SUNSET WITH A HANDSOME COWBOY! Sad sigh! Poor five year old Cowboy was a beloved housepet but when his owner got sick, the owner’s daughter dumped her parent’s beloved feline friend at the kill happy shelter instead of continuing to take care of the furry beloved family member. Talk about a relative from hell! It is an all too common shelter story and poor Cowboy is about to pay with his precious life due to the lack of care and concern of someone who was entrusted to take care of him. He is a super sweet but very sad boy who would do best in a calm and quiet home. Could you be the kind purrson who opens up your heart and home to this great guy? Please reserve Cowboy online or let a rescue know if you can help. Transportation is available. Contact [email protected] for assistance. Cowboy needs his rescue angel. Please be the special someone to make his dream of a new family a reality. Make the call for this precious pet NOW!!!

12/08/2015 BEHAVIOR EVALUATION – EXPNOCHILD
Exam Type BEHAVIOR
Reaction to assessor: Cowboy looks tense in his cage when approached by the assessor. Reaction to door opening: Cowboy remains lying down on his cage bedding, alert with eyes wide open. Reaction to touch: Cowboy accepts the stroke, but stiffens up with ears down to the side and remains cautious with his surroundings. Placement determination: Experience / no child Cowboy tolerates attention and petting but may be fearful in the shelter, and may be intimidated by small children. Due to the behaviors seen in the care center, we feel that this cat will do best in a calm, quiet home with experienced cat parents and without children.
