Exam Type BEHAVIOR
According to the former owner he has been around children ages 2-11 and when around them would be relaxed and affectionate and would seek attention instead of playing. He lived with one other cat and was relaxed, playful, and affectionate and would play gentle. He has been around both a Rottweiler and a Chihuahua and was fearful and defensive at them when they would approach him. Reaction to assessor: Cookie looks neutral in his cage when approached by the assessor. Reaction to door opening: Cookie remains sitting upright on his cage bedding, meowing attention. Reaction to touch: Cookie accepts the stroke, stands with tail up, but began to meow whine and randomly hiss during the touch while he still solicits attention. Placement determination: Experience / no child Cookie tolerates attention and petting but may be stressed in the shelter, and may be intimidated by small children. Due to the behaviors seen in the care center, we feel that this cat will do best in a calm, quiet home with experienced cat parents and without children.
