8/24/15 11:50 Basic information: Cookie is a 4 yr. old spayed female domestic short hair mix. The owner surrendered Cookie and Chole A1048988 because of personal problems. Cookie has no health problems and the owner last took her to the vet to be spayed six months ago. Socialization: The owner states that around strangers Cookie is friendly and outgoing. Cookie has lived with 3 children ages between 2 months and 4 yrs. old she is gentle and loves to be play with them and adults. Cookie has lived with another spayed female cat Chole A1048988 and they play very well together. She has never been around dogs so the owner has no idea how Cookie would react around them. Cookie has never bitten or scratched anyone. Behavior: Cookie does not like to be bathed or picked up and held for long periods (she will struggle). She is okay with having her nails trimmed, her coat brushed and allows being placed in a cat carrier. For a new family to know: The owner describes Cookie as friendly and playful cat with a medium activity level. Cookie has played with rubber ball cat toys; she lives mostly indoors and sleeps anywhere in the house that she wants. In the home Cookie will follow the owner around and prefers to stay in same room as the owner. Cookie Meow mix brand dry cat food and is feed two times a day. She is litter box trained and uses a covered litter box with clumping litter. Cookie had a carpet scratching post and she love to play with it. Behavior during intake: During intake Cookie and Chole were clam with soft body, they allowed us to scan (-) put on collars, photographed and placed in cat kennels.

Cookie has never bitten or scratched anyone. Reaction to assessor: Cookie looks neutral in her cage when approached by the assessor. Reaction to door opening: Cookie remains lying down on her cage bedding, alert with soft eyes. Reaction to touch: Cookie head-butts the assessor’s hand, purrs in place, and appreciates petting on the head and body. Reaction to Being Picked up: She calmly jumps back into her cage. Placement determination: Average Cookie interacts with the observer, appreciates attention, is easy to handle and tolerates all petting. This cat is showing behavior appropriate for new or experienced cat parents.
