Notes: Coney was brought to the care center as a stray so we don’t have any behavioral history or tendencies previous to what we are seeing during the evaluation. At the time of the assessment she was displaying very friendly behavior, comes to the front of the kennel, interacts with the Assessor, solicits attention, is easy to handle and tolerates all petting. Coney is displaying behavior appropriate for a beginner cat owner. Reaction to assessor: does not come to front but looks at you, is calm, relaxed When spoken quietly: comes to the front of cage, rubbing Reaction to door cage opening: remains soft and relaxed Reaction to touch: solicits petting and attention, soft body Try picking cat up: allows being picked Placement Determination: Beginner
