*** GONE 07/14/15 *** CONCOURSE IS A SENIOR GAL WHO RAN INTO SOME SERIOUS TROUBLE….or rather some serious trouble possibly ran into her in the from of a car….CONCOURSE has a very serious leg wound that may require amputation. Or at the very least wound manangement. Many people would write CONCOURSE off because she is 13…..But CONCOURSE has a BEGINNER rating despite all the medical handling…..SHE HAS SPIRIT!! If you can’t adopt this sweet senior, PLEASE offer to FOSTER….The rescue will take care of the vet bills while you help CONCOURSE get well. CONCOURSE has nowhere else to turn tonight…..only to YOU!!

I came in the shelter as a STRAY on 07/09/2015 from NY 10453, owner surrender reason stated was STRAY.

Old leg injury to hind right (possible hit by car, other drag burns seen along right side of ventrum), degloved, deep muscle involvement, myiasis through from medial to lateral side of leg. Was able to clean most maggots out with forceps (gave capstar PO). Negative fleas/earmites (activyl). Pyrantel given. Dirty haircoat. NOSF Very friendly cat despite handling; moved to medical. Buprenorphine 0.5mg/ml (0.15ml IM) per oncall

Reaction to assessor: Concourse was calm, relaxed, and friendly upon approach. When softly spoken to, she meows softly and comes to the front to sniff the assessor. Reaction to cage door opening: Concourse remains soft and relaxed. Reaction to touch: Concourse leans on the assessor’s hand, rubs her cheeks to solicit attention, and begins to purr. Reaction to being picked up: Concourse remains soft and allows handling. Behavior Determination: Beginner Concourse interacts with the Assessor, solicits attention, is easy to handle and tolerates all petting. This cat can go to a beginner home.
