***SAFE 05/11/15*** SUPER SENIOR GIRL COFFEE IS IN GREAT SHAPE FOR HER AGE AND NOW SHE IS LISTED DUE TO A COLD! A staff member writes: “Coffee the cat is just as wonderful as the first cup of joe in the morning. Her mocha, light and dark colors combine all the different roasts out there to appeal to everyone’s different tastes. Coffee is a mellow lady looking for a companion to take care of her during her golden years. She may need a little extra care from the vet, but will be forever grateful! She is very happy just lounging around with you on a calm Wednesday and will not get jealous when you go out with your friends on the weekends. Come meet this beautiful gal today and make her part of your family!” COFFEE had a special plea today as she is a wonderful cat and would make someone a great companion. COFFEE lived with children too and was respectful of them. She is 15 years old and would love a place to live her golden years. PLEASE GIVE COFFEE THAT CHANCE TO HAVE A HAPPY RETIREMENT – CONTACT A RESCUE NOW TO PULL HER TO SAFETY!!

04/24/2015 PET PROFILE MEMO
04/24/15 17:51 Coffee is a 15yr old Spayed Tortie Cat. Owner has had all her life & was surrendered due to Owner’s health issues and is no longer able to care for. Last veterinary visit was 5yrs ago for a check up (no health issues stated). Coffee was given to the owner as a gift from a family member along with her sister Red (A1034196 also surrendered) Coffee has been around a 6yr old child. She allows the child to pet her but doesn’t like to be picked up. Red doesn’t play with the child but lays there and allows him to pet her. Coffee and her sister Red tend to play fight which “sometimes gets a little out of hand” which then they both separate in different directions away from each other. Coffee hasn’t been around Dogs (behavior is unknown), she is an indoor Cat who’s activity level is low (mostly lays around). Coffee is described as quiet and independent. She likes to be with the owner’s son (26yrs) & grandchild. Coffee hasn’t bitten or scratched any person or animal, she will however give you warnings if she doesn’t want to be bothered..she’ll put her paw up in a “I’m going to hit you” pose or will put her mouth on you without applying pressure. Coffee’s owner has not given her a bath or trim her nails, she struggles and tries to flee during brushing, when picking her up and trying to hold her and when trying to place her into a carrier. Coffee gets up and runs off if she’s disturbed while sleeping/resting. Coffee uses a litterbox however for the past two months the owner has noticed either Coffee or Red hasn’t been using the litterbox every time. She isn’t sure which of the two has been using the floor for their “business”. It only happens every now and then, neither one of them as been seen by a vet for this issue. Coffee uses Fresh Step clumping litter in a hooded litterbox. She occasionally plays with Cat toy balls that have the bell inside but also likes handball balls. She uses a floor rug to scratch on not the scratching post. When the owner is home Coffee will stay laying somewhere comfortably. While riding in a car Coffee tends to meow and cry owner stated it’s because she doesn’t like being in her carrier. Coffee eats Meow Mix dry food and sleeps on a cat bed. Coffee was soft bodied with tail & ears neutral. She allowed to be scanned (neg.), collared.
