06/27/15 21:27 Coco is a pet surrender who was brought into ACC today. Coco is an 8 yrs. old black and gray cat who is not as affectionate as she once was and has grown slightly aggressive and hard to handle. Coco recently had issues with her paws where her claws where growing into her paws hich caused her disomfort. 07/01/2015 BEHAVIOR EVALUATION – NH ONLY
Exam Type BEHAVIOR
Notes: Coco was bought into the care center as a owner surrender but we don’t have any behavioral history or tendencies previous to what we are seeing during the evaluation. She seems to not be thriving in this environment and at the time of the assessment Coco was displaying behaviors that preclude placement in the adoptions room and may require further investigation before placement in a home. She is extremely fearful and currently does not tolerate petting or handling. The behavior department feels that placement with a New Hope Partner is the best option at this time. Reaction to assessor: stares at me with wide eyes When spoken quietly: stares at me with wide eyes Reaction to door cage opening: become stiff and tense Reaction to touch: hisses and growl Try picking cat up: not tolerant of this type of behavior Placement Determination: NewHope
