06/23/15 13:39 Basic info: Coco is a 4 year old female who has no known injuries or medical issues. Social Life and Personality: She was not around any dogs, cats, or children so her behaviors are unknown. She is litter box trained, kept indoors only, and has a low level of energy. Behavior: She has not bitten or scratched anyone before. She enjoys getting a bath but was never brushed or had her nails trimmed before. She is not bothered when owner picked her up, held her, placed her in a crate, or when woken. New Family info: She is used to crystal litter inside an uncovered box. She scratches on a vertical post made out of rope and carpet. At home she stays in a favorite spot and was fed dry food. Intake Behavior: During intake she would not approach or retreat from extended hand. Showed no signed of aggression throughout intake and when scanned was negative for a microchip. When inside new carrier retreated to the middle and when given food was not interested in eating.

Reaction to assessor: Coco looks neutral in her cage when approached by the assessor. Reaction to door opening: Coco remains lying down on her cage bedding, immobile in place. Reaction to touch: Coco stands with tail up, head-butts the assessor’s hand, and appreciates petting on the head and body. Reaction to Being Picked up: She calmly jumps back into her cage. Placement determination: Average Coco interacts with the observer, appreciates attention, is easy to handle and tolerates all petting. This cat is showing behavior appropriate for new or experienced cat parents.
