Sex: Male intact kitten Scan: Negative Hx of watery diarrhea, fishy-smelling urine, lethargy, not drinking x1 week S: Active, curious, explores the space, meows, pushes his head into my face when I scratch, tolerates all handling O: BAR-H, BCS 4.5/9, MMs pink and tacky, CRT <2 sec EENT: No discharge OU, AU, nose. Clean deciduous teeth. PLNs: Not enlarged. H/L: NSR, NMA. Purring, quiet lung sounds. Abd: Soft, no pain on palpation, no masses palpated. Anus is erythematous and slightly protruding M/S/I: Amb x4. No lesions noted. UG: Male intact, testicles soft and symmetrical. Straining to defecate after exam, but nothing produced Parvo SNAP test: NEGATIVE A: 1. Hx diarrhea – R/O parvo, parasites, bacterial enteritis, other 2. Hx fishy -smelling urine – R/O UTI vs. concentrated urine vs. other 3. Dehydration – R/O diarrhea Short-term prognosis: Fair P: 1. Gave 0.28 ml ponazuril today, will give again tomorrow. Gave 0.63 ml Panacur today, will give for 2 more days. 2. Fecal sample 3. LRS 6 ml SQ q12 x2 days 1088
