Please take note: CJ’s fomrer owner stated she has lived with other cats and did not do well with them. Also, she is more shy, hides a lot. Reaction to assessor: CJ looks tense in her cage when approached by the assessor. Reaction to door opening: CJ remains crouched down hiding in her cat den, alert with eyes wide open. Reaction to touch: CJ avoids contact, hisses with ears flat, and swats at the assessor’s hand. Placement determination: NH ONLY CJ is displaying behaviors that preclude placement in the adoptions room. She is stressed in the shelter environment and does not currently tolerate petting. The behavior department feels that placement with a New Hope Partner is the best option at this time.
