06/04/2015 BEHAVIOR EVALUATION – EXPERIENCE
Exam Type BEHAVIOR
Owner Profile: Cindy was bought into the care center by her previous owner due to land lord problems. Cindy lived with adults so her behavior around children is unknown. Cindy has not been introduced to another cat so her behavior towards cats also remains unknown. The previous owner stated Cindy would go outside to play with two Dachshunds and she is playful towards dogs. Cindy is litter box trained and her activity level is to a medium. Notes: Cindy at the time of the assessment was displaying fearful behavior; does not seek attention from the assessor and becomes alert when the kennel was open. Retreats as I started to get closer but after a steady low approach using soft voices she relaxed a little and I was able to pet her and interact with her in a limited way. I was also able to pick her up and although she was tense no fractious behavior was display. We recommend that this cat go to a home with experienced cat parents. Reaction to assessor: does not come to front but remains neutral (2) When spoken quietly: does not come to front but remains neutral (2) Reaction to door cage opening: remains neutral (2) Reaction to touch: seems indifferent to my presence and touch (2) Try picking cat up: tolerant of this type of handling but tense. Placement Determination: Experience
