09/22/15 20:14 Ciara is a 12 year old female spayed calico cat who is being surrendered because the owners mother has passed away. Ciara has been with the family for almost 12 years. Ciara lived with 2 adults and 2 children and 1 other who is a chihuahua. Ciara is affectionate and receptive to all family members. Ciara is overweight and is not very active. Ciara is also receptive and tolerant to the dog in the home. When visitors come to the home she is indifferent. Ciara uses an open litter box with clumping litter. Ciara does not like a bath and does not like water. She is tolerant of a nail trim and enjoys being brushed. She can be picked up but tolerates it for a short time. Ciara is comfortable in a carrier. Ciara does not have toys but likes to play with a Bobby pin. She does not have a scratching post and may scratch the couch. When the family is home she likes to be in her own area. When the family she is well behaved. Ciara likes dry food. Upon intake Ciara was not handled. Counselor was able to scan for microchip (positive) but did not collar or photograph.

Ciara is affectionate and receptive to all family members. Ciara is not very active. Ciara is also receptive and tolerant to the dog in the home. When visitors come to the home she is indifferent. Ciara uses an open litter box with clumping litter. Notes: Ciara at the time of the assessment was displaying friendly behavior, comes to the front of the kennel, interacts with the Assessor, solicits attention, is easy to handle and tolerates all petting. Ciara is displaying behavior appropriate for a new cat owner.
