I was equally as happy to give it to her. Very easygoing, sweet and playful, Ciabella will be at home in a variety of households, please come to the Manhattan shelter and say ‘hello beautiful’! A volunteer writes: This lovely kitty lay in her cage and watched me carefully for awhile, before deciding that she was ready for some attention time. Then she came out softly and quietly, and meowed softly and stuck her paw out for some attention. Reaction to assessor: Ciabella was calm, relaxed, and friendly upon approach. When softly spoken to, she rubs her cheeks onto her bedding and starts to knead in the air. Reaction to cage door opening: Ciabella remains soft and relaxed. Reaction to touch: Ciabella was a little hesitant at first, but head-butts the assessor’s hand lightly with her tail tucked closely beside her. Reaction to being picked up: Ciabella allowed handling, but was tense and preferred to be inside the cage. Behavior Determination: Average Ciabella interacts with the Assessor, solicits attention, is easy to handle and tolerates all petting. This cat is showing behavior appropriate for new or experienced cat parents.
