***SAFE 07/24/15*** BEGINNER CI CI IS A 4 MONTH OLD SUPER FRIENDLY KITTEN WHO WAS FOUND NEAR THE RIVER BY CO-OP CITY – NOW WITH MILD URI SYMPTOMS THE ACC HAS DECIDED TO END THIS BABY’S LIFE! CICI is a super friendly little boy who was found along the river near a housing complex in the Bronx. This baby was taken in by his finder because he had a small wound on his back and a small mass which ruptured. When this happened this finder brought him into the shelter where he is catching a cold. This time the shelter didn’t even wait til he got sick to list him. CI CI was a super friendly kitty on his assessment and was soliciting attention and petting and loving every minute of it. CI CI NEEDS A HOME, NOT A LETHAL INJECTION!!! CONTACT A RESCUE NOW TO SAVE CI CI FROM DEATH AT NOON FRIDAY.

Basic Information 4 month old cat was found by the river in coop city. Surrenderer could not remember the cross streets. She had a wound on her back and a small mass. After the mass ruptured, she brought it into the shelter for care. Behavior during intake Wide eyed and curious. Does not resist touch or stroking. Vocal when picked up and seems in pain.

Ci Ci came into the care center as a friendly stray, so we cannot speak to her behavior in her previous home. She has been social and easy to handle since intake. Reaction to assessor: Ci Ci is at the front of the cage when the assessor approaches. Reaction to cage door opening: Remains at the front, body soft. Reaction to touch: Ci Ci solicits attention by leaning into the assessor’s hand. She allows all petting as well as a gentle pick up in the cage. She remains at the front, rubbing on the bars, after the assessor steps away. Placement determination: Beginner Ci Ci interacts with the Assessor, solicits attention, is easy to handle and tolerates all petting. This cat can go to a beginner home.
