CHULA – A1041683
7-2-2015 Manhattan
***GONE 07/02/15*** THREE YEAR OLD CHULA’S OWNER IS MOVING SO HE DISCARDS HIS PET LIKE TRASH IN THE KILL HAPPY ACC – NOW CHULA WILL DIE BECAUSE SHE IS FRIGHTENED EVEN THOUGH SHE IS PURRRFECTLY HEALTHY!!! CHULA is a sleek house pantherette who lived with her old owner for almost 3 years. Now he is moving to another state, and he tossed poor CHULA to the curb like trash because he said he had no time. Last time I looked there were no bans on transporting cats to other states. Sadly CHULA is sad and disoriented about being abandoned in the shelter, and she is not her usual self. She is unsure of people – strangers – although was said to be affectionate to her owner. CHULA is HEALTHY but the ACC will still kill this pretty girl because she is afraid. GIVE CHULA A DEATH ROW PARDON TONIGHT AND ANOTHER CHANCE TO LIVE IN A FUREVER HOME THIS TIME. CONTACT A RESCUE NOW TO PULL HER TO SAFETY!!

06/29/2015 BEHAVIOR EVALUATION – EXPNOCHILD
Exam Type BEHAVIOR
Reaction to assessor: Chula does not come to the front but is neutral inside her cage. When softly spoken to, she lowers her head and her eyes wander. Reaction to cage door opening: Chula becomes stiff and alert, and lowers her entire body behind her litter box. Reaction to touch: Chula remains immobile, but her ears bend flat against her head and she starts to growl. She focuses on the assessor’s hand throughout the interaction. As per previous owner, Chula has lived with 1 adult for 2 years and 10 months. She has never lived with any other animal, but is friendly, affectionate, and quiet with the owner. She has a medium activity level and has never bitten any other animal or person. Behavior Determination: Experience No Child Chula tolerates attention and petting but may be fearful or stressed in the shelter, and may be intimidated by small children. She may be a little more independent, and may need time to warm up to her new home. Due to the behaviors seen in the care center, we feel that this cat will do best in a calm, quiet home with experienced cat parents and without children.
