CHILLI – A1040098
6-27-2015 Brooklyn
***GONE 06/27/15***GREAT GINGERBREAD MAN GIVEN REPRIEVE—MAKE IT COUNT! T BOZ, CHILLI AND LEFT EYE WERE THREE MUSKETEERS WHO WERE DUMPED IN THE ACC – T Boz and Left Eye are sadly gone. We thought our friend, Chili was another sad stat, too but thankfully he got a break and we have another chance to save him. Someone brought in Chili and his pals back on 6/14 and claimed they were strays. We wonder if they were really strays or the “finders” cats who he just didn’t want any longer. Sadly they came in carriers and not traps, were terribly upset and did not allowing handling. CHILLI is likely traumatized in the shelter and if you give him a chance, he should be just fine once in a safe and loving home. We have no way of knowing his background in a home but we do know that if he is not rescued by NOON tomorrow, he will be gone for good. Let’s make sure that doesn’t happen. Please contact a NH rescue if you can open up your heart and home to this great gingerbread man. Won’t you please be “the somebody” in “somebody do something?” Make Chili’s brief reprieve count and his precious life matter!!!

06/19/2015 BEHAVIOR EVALUATION – NH ONLY
Exam Type BEHAVIOR
Notes: Chilli was brought to the care center as a stray so we don’t have any behavioral history or tendencies previous to what we are seeing during the evaluation. He seems to not be thriving in this environment and at the time of the assessment Chilli was displaying behaviors that preclude placement in the adoptions room and may require further investigation before placement in a home. He has tried to flee and is extremely fearful. Chilli currently does not tolerate petting or handling. The behavior department feels that placement with a New Hope Partner is the best option at this time. Reaction to assessor: does not come to front but remains neutral When spoken quietly: does not come to front but remains neutral Reaction to door cage opening: retreats Reaction to touch: growls, hisses does not allows petting at all Try picking cat up: did not attempt to pick the cat up, fractious behavior Placement Determination: NewHope
